Year six is off and running for Regency Capital! I’m grateful for a special group of coworkers, clients, friends, and family that support and push us to be the very best we can be. Together, we are striving to be the premier local financial services company, defined not by size or slogans but by warmth, integrity, and service, that Hawaii deserves. It’s not about being the largest, it’s about being dependable, thoughtful, and present. It’s about a person answering the phone, treating every inquiry as important, and handling requests (e.g. wire transfers and account distributions) promptly with care. I am proud that who we are translates to what we do.

When people think about working with a financial advisor, they often think about investments first. While portfolio management is a very important component, it represents only part of the value we bring.

Multigenerational planning, including family gifting, are key services as well. Whether clients are helping children with education tuition, assisting with a first home purchase, or making annual gifts to grandchildren, we help structure gifting strategies that align with tax rules and long-term family goals. We also facilitate family financial discussions, helping create clarity, alignment, and open communication across generations – conversations that are often just as important as the planning itself!

Charitable giving is another area where thoughtful planning can make a meaningful difference. Many clients in Hawaii feel a deep connection to their community and want their generosity to reflect that. We help structure charitable giving through a variety of strategies; whether using donor-advised funds, foundations, qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) from RMDs, or appreciated stock donations – allowing clients to support causes they care about while mitigating taxes and maximizing their impact.

Another essential part of the value we provide is financial organization. Many clients come to us with accounts spread across multiple institutions, unclear beneficiary designations, unknown username and passwords, and important estate planning documents that haven’t been reviewed in years. We take time and care to work with clients and their other financial professionals like CPAs and attorneys to manage it all. Organization is the first step to reducing stress while creating efficiency and confidence.

If you have worked with, or interacted with us, you know that we are enthusiastic people and it carries over to our work. It’s not about having every answer right away; it’s about committing to helping clients find the right ones by taking time to understand what matters most and working thoughtfully by their side to get it right.

Our goal is to be a local and long-term, trusted partner, supporting you, your ohana, and the community we call home. We’ll keep learning. Let’s keep building. Most importantly, together.
